From Niigata Airport

Please go to the JR Niigata Station by Airport Bus,
after that, please go to the JR Nagaoka Station by JR East, Joetsu Shinkansen.
 Nagaoka Grand Hotel and Hotel New Otani Nagaoka very close to the JR Nagaoka station are reserved for the symposium participants.
(The participant to reserve the above-mentioned hotel should contact to the symposium secretariat until Nov. 13, 2010.)

From Narita Airport

Please go to the JR Tokyo Station by NARITA EXPRESS.
After that, please go to the JR Nagaoka Station by JR East Joetsu Shinkansen.


From Chyubu International Airport (Centrair)

From Centrair, we have domestic flight to the Niigata Airport (two flights / day).
It will be useful for US and EU participants.

Air Routes

Niigata Airport is a flourishing international gateway, with regular flights to Hawaii, Guam, Russia (Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, and Irkutsk), China (Shanghai, Xi'an, and Harbin), and Seoul, Korea. The extension of its runway to 2500m, which was put into operation in 1996, has greatly expanded Niigata Airport's opportunities. Further efforts are being made to extend the runway to 3,000m in order to make direct flights to the west coast of North America and Eastern Europe possible. Currently, many chartered flights between Niigata and overseas locations are being put into operation. In particular, charter flights to Taipei, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur are frequently operated and efforts are being made to connect Niigata with these locations by regular flights.
