これは極限センターに特徴的なパルス粒子加速器の1台です。
2) Introduction and Recovery of Point Defects in KCl-NaCl
KCl-NaCl single crystals have been irradiated by pulsed electron beams from ETIGO-III to simulate radiation environment of Europa. Point defects formed by the irradiation are called "color centers" to show brownish color. Distribution of point defects and their recovery behavior data shall contribute to find NaCl and lives in the sea of Europa.
KCl-NaCl単結晶への点欠陥の導入と回復
ETIGOｰIIIによるKCl-NaCl単結晶へのパルス電子ビーム照射を行い、エウロパでの照射環境模擬を行っています。照射 によって導入された点欠陥は色中心と呼ばれ、茶色の着色を呈します。この点欠陥濃度とその回復挙動のデータは、エウロパの海 での塩や生命の発見に貢献すると考えられます。
