Repetitive Pulsed Power Generator, "ETIGO-IV"
A
new repetitive pulsed-power generator, "ETIGO-IV"
, has been developed for applications in materials science and high
power microwave production. It is capable of delivering, to a matched load,
an output pulse of (400-500) kV in voltage, 13 kA in current, and 200 ns in
pulse width, at the repetition rate of 1 Hz. Basically, it consists of
capacitors, pulse forming line, pulsed transformer, and magnetic switches.
"ETIGO-IV"
will be used for the generation of
repetitive, pulsed ion-beams which has potential applications in material
processing, such as pulsed ion-beam ablation and pulsed ion-beam surface
treatment of materials.
