Linear Induction Accelerator, "ETIGO-III"

"ETIGO-III" is an inductive pulsed electron beam accelerator (8 MV, 5 kA, and 30 ns).  As shown in the figure, the accelerator consists of four induction cells.  Each cell, where three amorphous cores are installed, is energized by the output voltage from the pulse forming line (670 kV).  The output voltage of 2 MV is obtained per each cell, and the final output is 8 MV, 5 kA, and 30 ns.  Using relativistic pulsed electron beam thus obtained, experimental studies are being carried out to study flue gas treatment or the production of strong microwave.
